The History of BSSM

The History Of The Moon Kingdom

Our story begins thousands of years ago during the Silver Millennium when the world was happy and peaceful and not yet burdened by evil and war. Every planet was blossoming with life and happiness, especially the Moon. On the Moon lived Queen Serenity and her daughter, the Princess. Everybody loved and envied the Moon Kingdom, for it was known for it's beauty and power, and one person in particular knew this....Queen Beryl.

Growing stronger by the day, Queen Beryl was determined to rule the universe, but in order to do that, she knew that she must first conquer the Moon Kingdom. While laying dormant for quite sometime, planning and executing with the aid of Queen Metallia, elsewhere the Moon Princess was falling in love. One day, unexpectedly the Moon Princess and Prince of the Earth met and fell in love. Secretly, with the help of her friends and guardians, Princess Serenity was able to go to Earth and meet Prince Endymion. However, trouble was brewing on Earth, making it near impossible to meet her Prince. Queen Beryl had finally made her appearance. Her attack on Earth was devastating and the losses were great, having taken half of the Earth and brainwashing Prince Endymion's most trusted Shitenou. The Princesses of their respective planets were devastated...

As the threat of attack grew, Queen Serenity decided to have one last ball. Everybody was invited except the people of Earth as they were suspected to have become the enemy after Queen Beryl took over the Earth. Prince Endymion, unable to help himself, decided to have one last dance with his Princess. Disguised in a tuxedo, top hat, cane, and mask, he was able to sneak through the barriers of the Moon. Who would have thought terror would strike at that moment? Queen Beryl had attacked and the final battle had begun. The Princesses Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto, Neptune and Saturn transformed, and fought bravely against Beryl's attacks determined to protect their Moon Princess. It was a sorrowful battle as the Senshi had to fight their own loves, Kunzite, Zoicite, Nephrite and Jedite.

However, the most sorrowful battle of all was when Queen Beryl challenged Prince Endymion. Prince Endymion fought bravely, giving his all, but fate was cruel. Not able to hold onto life without Endymion, the Moon Princess killed herself with her lover's own sword. Everyone who fought knew there was no hope, but they were determined not to give in so easily. Sadly, nobody survived the battle except Queen Serenity and two cats; Artemis and Luna. Having lost everything dear to her, she had nothing left to lose. So, with the power of the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou she sent her daughter, all the Senshi, Artemis, Luna and Prince Endymion to the future. With her remaining strength she sealed Queen Beryl and Metallia, forever banishing them. However, having sealed them with so little strength, the seal had many defects and was not very strong. Later in the future they would roam the Earth once again and it would be up to our Princess to banish them...but that is another story.

How It All Began

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, began it's run in the year of 1992. It all began with a manga written by the genius Takeuchi Naoko, called Code Name Sailor V, which was about Sailor Venus. The animation company told her to expand her manga a little bit, which is what led to Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. The anime consisted of 200 episodes which was split into 5 seasons (Sailor Moon, R, S, Super S and Stars) with 3 movies and 4 specials. As for the manga, their were 18 volumes written. Sailor Moon started out with a 14 year old girl Tsukino Usagi, who found out she was a Sailor Senshi when a black cat; Luna told her of her destiny. Together they start finding the other Sailor Scouts, so they could find their Moon Princess. In the process they fight battles against yomas sent by their enemies who are trying to take over the world. The story of Sailor Moon, is about love, trust and friendship, as they struggle to fight for what they believe in. They learn how to bear the world's burdens on their shoulders when their destiny was so foreboding.
