The Creator of BSSM 
The genius behind BSSM is none other than Takeuchi Naoko. Besides being the creator and artist of BSSM, she is also the creator of a number of
other works such as Sailor V, Love Witch and Miss Rain to name a few.
In 1986 Takeuchi made her debut as a mangaka with Love Call in which she won the Nakayoshi 2nd new mangaka award. She began creating more manga for Nakayoshi, including The Cherry Project, Maria, Miss Rain and Chocolate Christmas. In 1991 Codename Sailor V was created which turned out to be a big hit among Takeuchi's readers. So when there was talk of making it into an anime, Takeuchi took her chance and expanded the series placing Sailor Moon as the leader of the group and naming it Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, with Sailor V in the series as Sailor Venus. With the creation of BSSM, Takeuchi did not give up on Codename Sailor V, and restarted its serialization even after the end of BSSM. Sailor Moon began it's run in Nakayoshi with the February 1992 issue and ended in March 1997 with 52 acts/18 volumes. The TV series began in March 1992 and lasted until February 1997, running for a total of 200 episodes. Codename Sailor V lasted until November of 1997 with 15 acts/3 volumes, thus ending the saga of pretty guardians. Takeuchi's love of astrology began very early in her life, she was even a member of her high school's astrology club. While in school she loved writing poetry hence her skills in writing lyrics for most of the songs heard in the BSSM anime. Takeuchi's most recent series is Toki☆Meka!, which first began its run in 2005 and is going on until now. She currently lives in Azabu Juuban, the suburb where BSSM takes place.
